Join the SASA community.
SASA is one of the biggest organizations on campus and has a lot of moving parts, so it can be pretty tricky to find out how and when to join one of our many communities. Here are some ways to join right now, in order of increasing commitment and involvement.

Want to be more involved in the general body and meet new people? Meet a smaller community of like-minded SASA members consisting of anyone from new first-years to experienced board members and RSO leaders. Or, join our new mentor-mentee program, where you can learn from or guide other members of SASA.

Help us out with planning and running our events by joining a committee. Apply for one of three committees that manage our community outreach programs, membership activities, and annual show. First and second years highly encouraged!
CommitteesWhat We Do
Get started early as we start all of our membership programs and events.
Meet new people by joining the general body, the mentor mentee program, and going to our first big event of the year, Diwali. Help plan and organize our events for the coming year by applying to one of three committees.
Get settled in one of many SASA communities or prepare for the Show.
Audition and practice for one of several performances for the show, continue planning events in your committee, and get to know your families and mentors/mentees.
Perform, act, or volunteer for the Show and check out our final big events of the year.
After the Show, spring quarter is full of community outreach programs, membership activities, and bigger co-sponsored events like the trip to Devon Street, Holi, and the Iftar during Ramadan.
